Our Dentists

Dr. Henry Ma, DMD

General Dentist

Dr. Henry Ma is the Primary Dentist at Accent Dental and Apex Dental. Dr. Ma earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of British Columbia School of Dentistry in 2003. After graduation, he spent a year working with the Bigstone Cree Nation in Northern Alberta, followed by a position as an associate in the Peace River Area in 2004.

Dr. Ma served as a director for the BC Dental Association and, prior to his dental career, worked as a pharmacist after obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from UBC in 1998.

He enjoys working with children and provides dental services at the Fort St John Hospital.
Dr. Albert Tam, DMD

General Dentist

Dr Albert Tam received his Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of British Columbia. After practicing in the lower mainland for three years, he joined Accent Dental in 2012.

He is particularly interested in preventative and restorative dentistry as well as endodontics (root canals).
Dr. Jamie Kim, DMD

General Dentist

Dr. Kim completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine training at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. In the summer of 2019, an externship opportunity brought her to Fort St John, after which she happily decided to adopt the place as her new home. Dr. Kim enjoys all aspects of dentistry and continues to further her education in all areas.

Prior to entering the dental profession, Dr. Kim completed a bachelor's degree in Psychology and spent a couple of years in Calgary working with special needs youth.

Outside of the dental office she enjoys reading, dabbling in photography, as well as running and hiking — when the weather permits.
Dr. Dan Kah, DMD

General Dentist

After graduating from UBC DMD program in 2003, Dr. Kah practiced dentistry as an associate dentist for three years in the lower mainland. In 2006, he opened his own practice, Empire Dental Centre, in Richmond, BC. He joined Accent Dental in 2012 as a part-time associate dentist and has been coming to Fort St John to provide dental treatment ever since.

Although he enjoys all aspects of dentistry, he finds cosmetic dental services and implants particularly rewarding. He has been providing implant treatment at his own clinic for years, and hopes to offer the same service at Accent Dental. He also teaches at UBC dental clinic as a part time faculty member.
Dr. Farnad Rezaie, DDS

Endodontist

Dr. Rezaie received his DDS degree in 1998 and MSc (Endodontics) in 2003. Prior to moving to Vancouver, he had been practicing as an Endodontist for more than five years.

In 2010, he graduated from the University of British Columbia Dental School and in 2013 he successfully completed the Specialty Assessment Program from University of Toronto to become a Certified Specialist in Canada. He began practicing at Accent Dental that same year.

Dr. Rezaie is also the owner of Chilliwack Endodontics and partner of Township Endodontic Centre in Langley.
Dr. Alex Man, DMD

General Dentist

Dr. Man studied at the University of British Columbia where he obtained a Bachelor of Science and a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD). At his graduation, he was presented with the Sunstar G.U.M. Award for Clinical Proficiency.

He has also been the recipient of numerous other awards throughout dental school including a prestigious CIHR Studentship Award for his research on gingival healing that ranked second nationally. Dr. Man enjoys all facets of dentistry and strives to provide ethical, gentle, and compassionate care.

He does his best to put his patients at ease in order to ensure a positive experience for even the most anxious patients. In his spare time, he likes to read and spend time with his cat.
Dr. Jae Hee Kim

Dr Joshua Zhou

General Dentist

Meet Dr Joshua Zhou, a dedicated and experienced General Dentist. Dr. Zhou graduated with a DMD from the University of British Columbia] in 2023 and has been practicing dentistry since then.

Passionate about all aspects of general dentistry, Dr. Zhou stays committed to learning the latest advances in dental technologies and treatments. He believes in individualized approaches tailored to best suit each patient's needs and empowering them with healthy smiles.

Dr. Zhou also speaks mandarin. allowing him to assist a diverse range of patients more effectively.

In his free time, Dr. Zhou enjoys traveling, playing table tennis, and trying out new recipes.
Dr. Ben Oh

General Dentist

Dr. Oh has completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of British Columbia. With a focus on general dentistry and a commitment to patient care and quality, Dr. Oh ensures his patients receive top-notch treatment backed by evidence-based practices.

Outside of dentistry, he enjoys staying active through snowboarding and various sports, but also enjoys staying indoors indulging in pottery and video games. With a passion for lifelong learning, Dr. Oh continually seeks to expand his knowledge through ongoing education, ensuring his patients receive the best possible care.
Dr. Dong Ho Kim

General Dentist

Dr. Don Kim earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of British Columbia. Being passionate in providing emergency dentistry, Dr. Don remains available for urgent dental calls, offering swift and high-quality care to those in need during non office hours.

Before embarking on his journey in dentistry, Dr. Don undertook a combined major in sciences, showcasing his multidisciplinary approach to education and learning. During his downtime, Dr. Don indulges in reading captivating books and occasionally unwinds with a good movie.

Dr. Don is devoted to expanding his knowledge and skills across all aspects of dentistry. With a focus on comprehensive and patient-centered care, Dr. Don ensures that comfort and quality remain at the forefront of his practice, embodying a compassionate and professional approach to dentistry.

At Accent Dental, we offer walk-in emergency appointments to provide you with prompt emergency care when you need it most.

Whether you have had an accident, knocked out a tooth, or lost crowns and fillings, we will do our best to get you in at a moment's notice and get your smile back on track quickly.

During business hours, we have the equivalent of one dentist available specifically for emergency care. These appointments are offered on a first-come-first-serve basis.
